Kuwait Airways, is the national carrier of Kuwait, with its head office on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport, Al Farwaniyah Governorate. It operates scheduled international services throughout the Middle East, to the Indian subcontinent, Europe, Southeast Asia and North America, from its main base at Kuwait International Airport. Kuwait Airways is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization. The Kuwait Airways headquarters is located on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport in Al Farwaniyah Governorate, Kuwait. The head office was built for 15.8 million Kuwaiti dinars (US $ 53.6 million). The headquarter was constructed from 1992 to 1996. The construction of the head office was the first time that structural glazing for curtain walls was used in the State of Kuwait. The previous headquarters was on the grounds of the airport. Kuwait Airways has signed a deal for the purchase of 10 Airbus A350s for 60 million dinars per plane, 15 Airbus A320s for 15 million Kuwaiti dinars and 12 new Airbus aircraft for eight years. The aircraft will be delivered between 2014 and 2015, The start of the new aircraft in the beginning of 2019 to 2022 and the total deal according to Kuwait Airways will remain confidential until the press sources expected the total cost for the purchase of 25 new aircraft and 12 chartered aircraft exceeded one billion Kuwaiti dinars.
